Soccer Recap: O'Fallon Comes Up Short

O'Fallon was the 2-0 winner over Chaminade when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, O'Fallon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 76th in Illinois, while Chaminade are ranked tenth in Missouri).

O'Fallon's goal came courtesy of Landon Schutzenhofer, who's now up to two this season.

O'Fallon's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Chaminade, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. O'Fallon will be taking part in a tournament against Mehlville at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chaminade, they will challenge De Smet Jesuit at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
