Softball Recap: Prairie Comes Up Short

Prairie extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 4-9. They lost 23-9 to Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce]. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce] this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 last Tuesday.

Erica Schlader stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Audrey Warren was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

As for Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce], they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season. The result was nothing new for Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce], who have now won three games by ten runs or more so far this season.

On Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce]'s side, the team relied heavily on Lexi Warren, who got on base in all six of her plate appearances with five runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Warren has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Moddrell, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
