Soccer Recap: Washington-Wilkes Has No Trouble Against Savannah Christian

On Friday, the Washington-Wilkes Tigers got the win against the Savannah Christian Raiders by a conclusive 6-1. It was an even better day for Janie Marxsen as she scored four goals for her team.

The win made it two in a row for Washington-Wilkes and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those two matchups. As for Savannah Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington-Wilkes will challenge Banks County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Savannah Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Windsor Forest at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
