Softball Recap: White Oak Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact White Oak can now relate to. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 2-1 to the Richlands Wildcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Vikings just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

White Oak saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Sise, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Malaysia Curtis also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

White Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Richlands, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-5.

White Oak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Richlands, they will face off against Cedar Ridge on Friday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Fighting Red Wolves have averaged an impressive 9.7 runs per game this season.
