Baseball Recap: El Dorado Wildcats vs. Collegiate Spartans

El Dorado extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-4. They lost 12-2 to the Collegiate Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 on Thursday.

El Dorado got a good showing from Kolby Cooper, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, El Dorado saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jett Sheffler, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Hunter Conrad also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

As for Collegiate, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games.

On Collegiate's side, Max Williams was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI Williams has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Stehley, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
