Basketball Recap: Westview Comes Up Short

Westview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the San Marcos Knights, falling 77-28. The match marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Leading San Marcos to victory were Jalen Williams and Richie Ramirez. Williams went 9 of 13 en route to 24 points and six rebounds, while Ramirez dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards. The contest was Williams' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Elias Flaim was another key player, putting up ten points and six assists.

Westview's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-10. As for San Marcos, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-3.

Westview has already played their next game (against Mt. Carmel), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. San Marcos is taking a road trip to face off against Mission Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. San Marcos is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 68.6 points per game this season.
