Softball Recap: Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale Comes Up Short

Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 14-0 to the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Tuesday.

Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Wadena-Deer Creek, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale will take on Menahga at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wadena-Deer Creek, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Perham at 4:30 p.m.
