Football Recap: Brunswick Falls to Berea-Midpark in First Game of Season

Brunswick unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 28-7 to the Berea-Midpark Titans on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Although Brunswick took the loss, they still got scores from Gavin Moore and Sean Barnett.

Even if they lost, Brunswick's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Eli Nichols and Logan Matousek, who racked up all four sacks between them. Brunswick got some further help from Brayden Miles: he forced one fumble, made 11 total tackles, and defended one pass.

Brunswick wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 29-15 defeat against Olmsted Falls on the 29th. As for Berea-Midpark, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 28-26 loss against Euclid on the 29th.
