Softball Recap: College Park Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous five meetings between College Park and Clayton Valley Charter, and Clayton Valley Charter kept the tradition alive. The Falcons came up short against the Ugly Eagles on Tuesday, falling 8-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 4-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Kaitlyn Sparks was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

College Park's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-8-1. As for Clayton Valley Charter, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-5-1.

College Park has already played their next game, a 7-6 defeat against Benicia on the 24th. As for Clayton Valley Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-2 victory against Northgate on the 24th.
