Houston had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They enjoyed a cozy 60-44 win over the Christian Brothers Purple Wave on Thursday. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Purple Wave, too.

Christian Brothers' loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Houston will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Kirby at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Christian Brothers, they will host Fayette Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
