Football Game Preview: Marquez Gladiators vs. South Gate Rams + How To Watch

The Marquez Gladiators will challenge the South Gate Rams at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Marquez will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Marquez is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 16-7 win over Venice.

A big part of Marquez's victory came down to the chemistry between Angelo Gutierrez-Molina and his top target Jonathan Ramirez. Gutierrez-Molina threw for 149 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven passes while Ramirez picked up 34 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, South Gate gave up the first points on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Dorsey by a score of 28-20. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Dons: they've now won three in a row.

Marquez better keep an eye on Nicholas Fonseca. He was instrumental in South Gate's win, rushing for 53 yards and one TD, while also picking up 49 receiving yards and one touchdown.

South Gate didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Fonseca, Nicholas Quintanilla, and Edward Castro, who each picked up one interception apiece. Fonseca got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Marquez's record now sits at 11-2. As for South Gate, their record is now 10-3.
