The Rehoboth Christian Lynx will take on the Sandia Prep Sundevils at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rehoboth Christian will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
On Tuesday, Rehoboth Christian made easy work of Laguna Acoma and carried off a 17-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lynx, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Josiah Becksvoort made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple. That triple was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Jonathan Zylstra was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. He has become a key player for Rehoboth Christian: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-10 otherwise. Trajen West was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Sandia Prep suffered their closest defeat since April 2, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of East Mountain by a score of 9-7. The loss continues a trend for the Sundevils in their meetings with the Timberwolves: they've now lost six in a row.
Logan Lemons was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Jonas Mahboub, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Rehoboth Christian's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-10. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Sandia Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Rehoboth Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Sandia Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
