Derby is a perfect 4-0 against Emporia since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Spartans.

Derby fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Andover on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that Derby have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Emporia kept a clean sheet against West on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Pioneers. Emporia haven't had any issues with West recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Derby's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Emporia, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Everything went Derby's way against Emporia in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Derby made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
