Whiteville takes loss despite strong efforts from Elayzia Dawson and Serenity Harvey

Recap: Whiteville Wolfpack vs. West Bladen Knights

The Whiteville Wolfpack were the 68-47 winner over the West Bladen Knights when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Whiteville took a 40-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Bladen. Whiteville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Whiteville's loss on Friday came despite strong showings from Serenity Harvey and Elayzia Dawson. Harvey scored 12 points, while Dawson scored 11 points. Dawson scored a full 31.4% of Whiteville's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Whiteville's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-4. As for West Bladen, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whiteville will be home for the holidays to greet Fairmont at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Fairmont is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.9 points per game. West Bladen will be home for the holidays to greet South Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Columbus has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 20.
