Baseball Recap: Quakertown Find Success

While Quakertown's victory against Abington wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the Galloping Ghosts 3-2 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Galloping Ghosts: they've now won six in a row.

Maccen Probition looked comfortable as he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Gerry Stanziola and Brady Martin did most of the damage at the plate: Stanziola went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Martin went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Those three hits gave Martin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carter Tucholski, who earned one run and two stolen bases.

Quakertown's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Abington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6-1.

Coincidentally, Quakertown and Abington will both be playing Plymouth Whitemarsh the next time they take the field. The Panthers will head out to face the Colonials at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Galloping Ghosts will host them at 3:45 p.m. on the 28th.
