Basketball Game Preview: Chattahoochee Cougars vs. Gainesville Red Elephants

The Chattahoochee Cougars will challenge the Gainesville Red Elephants at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Chattahoochee is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Johns Creek just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 61-49 to the Gladiators.

Meanwhile, Gainesville didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Seckinger on Friday, but they still walked away with a 57-51 win. Given the Red Elephants' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Jaguars are ranked 90th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Gainesville and bumps their season record up to 13-6. As for Chattahoochee, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.
