Softball Recap: Coronado Comes Up Short

Coronado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tascosa Rebels. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rebels earlier this season, when they won 12-11.

Arianna Gutierrez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Abbie Madrid, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Tascosa, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 15-20-1.

As of now, neither Coronado nor the Rebels have any future games scheduled.
