There's no place like home for South Plaquemines, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against Wright on Friday as the South Plaquemines Hurricanes made off with a 19-2 win.

Rod Parker made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Jacoby Antoine was incredible, going 2-for-3 with seven RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two). Another player making a difference was Khi Ancar, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
The victory got South Plaquemines back to even at 1-1.
Looking ahead, South Plaquemines will welcome Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wright, they will challenge Frederick A. Douglass at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
