Volleyball Recap: Isla Gibson and Jaida Mills Secure Win for Bluffton

Bluffton won the last time they faced Marion and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Giants.

Bluffton walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-20, 25-8, 25-19.

Bluffton was led to victory by Jaida Mills and Isla Gibson. Mills had 19 digs and one assist, while Gibson had six digs and three aces. Mills is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

They weren't the only good server: Bluffton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Bluffton's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6. As for Marion, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Bluffton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Manchester on the 4th. As for Marion, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Tipton on the 6th.
