Preview: Bracken Christian Warriors vs. Marion Bulldogs
Two dominant players in Hunter Cox and Richard Rayos are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Having just played yesterday, the Bracken Christian Warriors will jump right back in to play the Marion Bulldogs at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
On Thursday, Bracken Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 44-40 to Johnson City. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bracken Christian in their matchups with Johnson City: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Marion had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2023 than the 66-30 stomp they got on the road against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-6.
Bracken Christian's loss dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Marion, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.
