Football Game Preview: El Dorado Cougars vs. Rosemont Wolverines + Official Tickets

The El Dorado Cougars will take on the Rosemont Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. El Dorado has given up an average of 29.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

El Dorado is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Liberty Ranch on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Cougars were dealt a 46-14 defeat at the hands of the Hawks. The Cougars have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite their loss, El Dorado saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Logan Kruse, who picked up 140 receiving yards and one TD, was perhaps the best of all.

Meanwhile, Rosemont started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Argonaut. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 36-33 on Friday. The defeat came about despite the Wolverines having been up 20 in the second quarter.

Rosemont's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for El Dorado, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

El Dorado beat Rosemont 45-34 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Wolverines' Alex 'Pit' Rodriguez, who rushed for 152 yards and one score on only 14 carries, and also caught one touchdown.
