Volleyball Recap: Washington Bluejays vs. Westminster Christian Wildcats

If Washington was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Fort Zumwalt South on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bluejays fell 2-0 to the Westminster Christian Wildcats on Saturday. The Bluejays were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in September of 2023.

Mya Buhr paced Washington's offense, picking up ten kills. Buhr were helped by Alyson Paule and Pyper Kiser, who contributed eight assists each.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westminster Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophia Arana, who had three digs and three aces. Arana has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Vivian Sharlow, who had four digs and two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Washington fell to 3-1. As for Westminster Christian, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.
