Basketball Recap: West Rusk Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

West Rusk hadn't done well against Sabine recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The West Rusk Raiders managed a 48-44 win over the Sabine Cardinals. Winning may never get old, but the Raiders sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Keke Murphy went supernova for West Rusk, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Kamyah Lacy, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds.

West Rusk's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-7. As for Sabine, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-12.

West Rusk will host Arp at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sabine, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Sabine Cardinals face off against the Troup Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Troup will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Sabine surely won't give up without a fight.
