Hanover has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.4 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Midlothian Trojans. The Hawks' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Hanover's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Midlothian, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hanover will take on Mechanicsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
