Softball Recap: Kingman/Norwich Finds Home Field Redemption Against Cheney

Kingman/Norwich's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Medicine Lodge on Monday. The Eagles skirted past the Cheney Cardinals 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since March 29th.

Caylor Helm spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kingman/Norwich secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Elizabeth Wallace, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Kingman/Norwich's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-7. As for Cheney, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Kingman/Norwich will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cardinals: the pair will be back at it again later today.
