Baseball Recap: Ridgeview Comes Up Short

After flying high against Arvin last Wednesday, Ridgeview came back down to earth. The Ridgeview Wolf Pack came up short against the Garces Memorial Rams on Monday, falling 9-2. The Wolf Pack were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Ridgeview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Quintero, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Quintero also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Ridgeview has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. The win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgeview will take on Centennial at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Centennial's pitching crew has only allowed 1.3 runs per game this season, so Ridgeview's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Garces Memorial, they will square off against Sierra Pacific at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Garces Memorial is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
