Volleyball Recap: Randolph-Macon Academy Takes a Loss

If Randolph-Macon Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Massanutten Military Academy on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Yellow Jackets fell just short of Foxcroft by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Surprisingly, this marked the Yellow Jackets' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Randolph-Macon Academy actually scored more points across those five sets (108-106), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-22, 21-25, 20-25, 15-13.

Randolph-Macon Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Foxcroft, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Randolph-Macon Academy will head out to take on Highland at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Foxcroft, they will challenge Wakefield School at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
