The Overland Trailblazers will take on the Eaglecrest Raptors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Overland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.1 points per game this season.

Overland took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Arapahoe by a score of 45-36. The Trailblazers haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Overland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kymani Eason led the charge by putting up 13 points. That's the most points Eason has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tj Manuel, who put up nine points.

Meanwhile, Eaglecrest waltzed into their matchup on Friday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 58-52 W against the Cougars. Given the Raptors' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while the Cougars are ranked 68th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Eaglecrest's win came from a few key players Overland will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ant Nettles, who scored 11 points along with six boards and four steals. Lucas Kalimba was another key player, going 6-for-11 on his way to 15 points and three steals.

Eaglecrest's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-2. As for Overland, their record is now 9-12.

Overland came up short against Eaglecrest in their previous matchup back in January, falling 65-59. Can Overland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
