Basketball Recap: Cameron Takes a Loss

Cameron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 60-24 loss at the hands of the Smithville Braves. While losing is never fun, the Yellow Jackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while the Braves are ranked 18th).

Cameron's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-6. As for Smithville, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-0.

Cameron will take on Clayton in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Smithville, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wright City at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
