Basketball Game Preview: Kelly Hawks vs. Charleston Bluejays

Kelly hasn't had much luck against Charleston recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Kelly Hawks take on the Charleston Bluejays at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Kelly is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game dating back to last season last Thursday. They were dealt a 93-31 loss at the hands of Scott City.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 65 points the game before, Charleston was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They fell 39-26 to Notre Dame. The contest marked the Bluejays' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Kelly will have to keep a close watch on Trenez Lane and Treshaun Schandon, a pair of players who had a big impact on Charleston's prior game. Lane posted nine points, while Schandon put up ten points and five rebounds.

Charleston now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Kelly, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Kelly came up short against Charleston in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 62-52. Can Kelly avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
