Softball Game Preview: Everett Seagulls vs. Marysville Getchell

For the second straight game, Everett will face off against Marysville Getchell. The Seagulls will welcome Marysville Getchell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Everett's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three games, but Friday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Thursday, Everett didn't have quite enough to beat Marysville Getchell and fell 3-2.

For Marysville Getchell's part, Aaliyah Shafer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up ten Ks. Shafer has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Marysville Getchell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elle Glover, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Marysville Getchell moved to 7-9 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Everett, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
