Baseball Recap: Benjamin Buccaneers vs. St. John Paul II Academy Eagles
Benjamin and St. John Paul II Academy squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Benjamin had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Buccaneers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 2-0.
Johnny Havlicek was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Havlicek was also solid in the batter's box, getting three hits from his three at bats.
Havlicek wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Derek Rubin, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
