Rolling Meadows is 9-1 against Wheeling since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Mustangs will look to defend their home field against the Wildcats at 4:45 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Friday, Rolling Meadows came up short against Buffalo Grove and fell 5-2.

Ashlyn Ferguson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two triples and two RBI. Those triples marked the first that she has hit this season. Caylee Del Boccio was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Wheeling's offense. They came up short against Hersey on Friday, falling 18-0. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wheeling's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Rolling Meadows, they dropped their record down to 9-19 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Rolling Meadows took their win against Wheeling in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 13-4 score. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
