It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Staunton River can now relate to. They fell just short of the Abingdon Falcons by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Golden Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Staunton River saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kailynne Keister, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Staunton River's loss dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Abingdon, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-4.

As of now, neither Staunton River nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
