Baseball Recap: Solanco's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Solanco took a nine-run defeat the last time they faced off against Octorara Area, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Golden Mules never let the Braves get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Golden Mules as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Ayden Herr, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. He is becoming a predictor of Solanco's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 3-6 when he doesn't).

Solanco's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Octorara Area, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
