Softball Recap: Phoebus Takes a Loss

Phoebus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 24-7 to the Woodside Wolverines. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-13 last Tuesday.

Kadence Bone made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Dasha Edmonds also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Phoebus' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Woodside, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1.

Coming up, Phoebus will face off against Norcom at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Woodside, they will head out to take on Warhill at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Warhill will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Woodside surely won't give up without a fight.
