Baseball Recap: Linn County Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Two must be Linn County's lucky number: they beat Tina-Avalon with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Mustangs beat the Dragons by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Quentyn Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up nine Ks.

Linn County picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Tina-Avalon, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Linn County will face off against Trenton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tina-Avalon, they will head out on the road to challenge Bosworth at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
