University and Woodlake squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but University had to settle for second. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 18-8. The Trojans' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Alexandra McBride made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Amela Hoang, who went 3-for-4 with two runs.

University's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Woodlake, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 29-1.

University does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Woodlake, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-3 victory against Pioneer Valley on the 7th.
