Freedom is 8-2 against Oconto Falls since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Irish will face off against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Freedom came out on top against Marinette on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run fourth inning. The Irish blew past the Marines 14-4. The result was nothing new for the Irish, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
Jessa McArtney spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Freedom let Kourtney Moeller and Breanna Dallmann run wild. Moeller got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI, while Dallmann went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits Dallmann has posted since back in May of 2025. Addison Murphy also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Freedom hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oconto Falls). They walked away with a 10-6 win over Peshtigo on Thursday. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly four runs.
Oconto Falls got a massive performance out of Amelia Danielczak, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Delaney McNichols, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
The victory made it two in a row for Oconto Falls and bumps their season record up to 2-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Freedom, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Everything went Freedom's way against Oconto Falls when the teams last played on April 9th, as Freedom made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Irish since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
