Basketball Recap: Loraine Takes a Loss

Loraine lost against Ira back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Loraine Bulldogs were dealt an 81-45 loss at the hands of the Ira Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Loraine can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1661st, while Ira is ranked 754th).

Loraine dropped their record down to 1-13 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Ira, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-5.

Loraine will face off against Highland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Loraine is facing Highland at the right time seeing as Highland is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Ira, they will square off against Roby at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
