Baseball Recap: Bastrop's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Bastrop took an eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Pflugerville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bears skirted past the Panthers 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Bastrop got a great performance from Cooper Voigt as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Voigt has posted since back in March of 2025.

The win snapped Bastrop's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-7-2 record. As for Pflugerville, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Bastrop will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
