The Milan Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Lake County Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Milan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.

While Milan didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Peabody by a score of 6-2 on Monday. Six seems to be a good number for the Bulldogs as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Mia Pearson made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Milan let Hailey Williamson and Maycee Masters run wild. Williamson went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double, while Masters scored three runs while going 2-for-3. That triple marked the first that Williamson hit this season.

Milan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Peabody only managed five hits.

Meanwhile, Lake County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Haywood, falling 14-3.

Mariah Valentine made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3.

The victory made it two in a row for Milan and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Lake County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
