Basketball Game Preview: Worthington Trojans vs. Redwood Valley Cardinals

The Worthington Trojans will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Redwood Valley Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Worthington will head into Friday's contest out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They had to suffer through a 76-37 loss at the hands of Marshall.

Meanwhile, Redwood Valley entered their tilt with Luverne on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 84-77.

Redwood Valley pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 87.7 points per game. As for Worthington, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Worthington didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Redwood Valley when the teams last played back in February, but they still walked away with a 79-73 victory. Will Worthington repeat their success, or does Redwood Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
