Volleyball Game Preview: Immaculate Mustangs vs. Masuk Panthers + How To Watch

Immaculate is 1-8 against Masuk since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 1:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Immaculate is headed into the match having just posted their closest victory since October 17, 2024 on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over New Fairfield.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Immaculate who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-18, 19-25, 25-16, 23-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Masuk hadn't done well against Newtown recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Panthers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Nighthawks, sneaking past 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Masuk was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 18-25, 20-25, 25-11, 18-16.

Masuk's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Immaculate, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
