Football Recap: Mira Mesa's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Mira Mesa had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 25-20 W against the Academy of Our Lady of Peace Pilots. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 26-20 back in August.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Mira Mesa's defense and their three sacks. In that department, Zoey Gwekoh-Delgado was the leader with two. She also made four total tackles, which is notable because Mira Mesa is 2-1 when she posts at least four total tackles, but 4-5 otherwise.

The victory got Mira Mesa back to even at 6-6. As for Academy of Our Lady of Peace, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-7.
