Basketball Recap: Dayspring Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against Estes Park

Dayspring Christian Academy hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They breezed by the Estes Park Bobcats to the tune of 57-20 on Tuesday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-6.

Dayspring Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Brynnli Bryson, who went 6 for 7 on her way to 14 points in addition to five assists and four steals. Those five assists gave Bryson a new career-high. Emma Grusy also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Estes Park lost, don't look at Marli Davis. Despite the final result, she posted 13 points and six boards. That was a full 65% of Estes Park's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Dayspring Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Estes Park, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Dayspring Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-27 win against Belleview Christian on the 16th. Estes Park has also already played their next game, a 30-27 loss against SkyView Academy on the 17th.
