Volleyball Recap: Charlotte Nelson and Allie Bornhorst Secure Win for New Bremen

After losing to Fort Loramie the last time they met, New Bremen decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cardinals blew past the Redskins 3-0 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

New Bremen walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-23, 26-24.

Leading New Bremen to victory were Allie Bornhorst and Charlotte Nelson. Bornhorst had four digs and four aces, while Nelson had 18 assists and three digs. Bornhorst is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season.

They weren't the only good server: New Bremen was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Loramie only served three aces.

New Bremen's record is now 13-1. As for Fort Loramie, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Bremen will challenge Minster at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fort Loramie, they will venture away from home to face off against Fort Recovery at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Redskins are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
