Recap: Arapahoe Warriors vs. Wauneta-Palisade Broncos
The Arapahoe Warriors lost against the Wauneta-Palisade Broncos back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Arapahoe fell to Wauneta-Palisade 58-52.
Despite the loss, Arapahoe had strong showings from Sage Larson, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 2 assists, and Berkley Warner, who scored 16 points along with 9 assists and 8 rebounds.
Wauneta-Palisade's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Peyton Cox, who scored 27 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Cox has scored at least 25% of Wauneta-Palisade's points. GraCee Goings was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with 3 steals.
Arapahoe now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Wauneta-Palisade, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Arapahoe will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Wilcox-Hildreth at 5:30 p.m. on December 14th. Wauneta-Palisade will be home for the holidays to greet South Platte on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (South Platte is ranked 61st, while Wauneta-Palisade is ranked 72nd).
