Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Port Allen). They put the hurt on the Tara Trojans with a sharp  37-17 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Pelicans, who have now won seven games by 14  runs or more  so far this season.
 Sydney Anderson was  incredible,  getting on base  in four of her six plate appearances with eight  stolen bases, four  runs,  and four  RBI. What's more,  she posted two  hits, the most she's  had since back in February.  Marsha Shirley was another key player,  going 3-for-5 with seven  stolen bases, four  runs,  and four  RBI.
 Port Allen was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .419. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tara only posted a  batting average of  .083.
Port Allen's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Tara, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with the  loss, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Port Allen will challenge Livonia at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Tara, they will host Glen Oaks  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
