Football Recap: Exeter-Milligan/Friend Piles Up the Points Against Southern

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shelby-Rising City, Exeter-Milligan/Friend was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Southern Raiders, posting a 64-18 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bobcats considering their ten-point performance the game before.

One reason for the win was Exeter-Milligan/Friend's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Truman Milton was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up 2.5 himself. Those 2.5 sacks set a new season-high mark for him.

Although Southern took the loss, they still got scores from Paxx Adams, Carsen Goes, and Ethan Decker.

The victory got Exeter-Milligan/Friend back to even at 2-2. As for Southern, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Exeter-Milligan/Friend will welcome Sutton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southern, they are taking a road trip to square off against Tri County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will be up against the Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
